Our resort in Philippines has many places to relax and unwind, join now! Not so
long ago, the fishermen of the village of Donsol were hunting for the whale
sharks. It was a period of diminishing the whale shark population. Catching this
huge fish was rather easy, because the whale shark is slow and docile, making
itself an easy target. Happily in our

The World Wildlife Fund started learning local fishermen
how to get tourists close to whale sharks and showed the fishermen the way how
to shift livelihoods to become tour operators or "spotters", capable to look out
for the whale sharks while staying at our
resort in Philippines.
Resort in Philippines Mga Tokó, as the people in de Visayas call the small
lizards, are living in houses and other buildings.
The Tokó can be seen as very
useful, because they feed their selves with catching mosquitoes in the houses
and other buildings. Though many Filipinos don't like these little creatures,
like many people don't like spiders in our resort in Philippines, these 'mga
toko' are in fact innocent. The mga toko stick with their feet to ceilings and
walls. They never come down and even disappear quickly if a human being is
coming near.
